I’ve always loved music, I love the way it has the ability to change moods, provoke thoughts and paint pictures. This personal project is exactly that. I was inspired by music from the late great Mac miller, more specifically his opening track from it’s namesake title “circles”.

Circles has a beautifully slow and relaxing instrumental that reminds me of waking up on a sunday morning, when the sun creeps into the bedroom and warms everything in it’s path.

The goal here was to create a realistic scene capturing the beauty of that natural morning light whilst also paying some subtle tributes to an artist I have been a fan of for many years, from the alarm clock with “GO:OD AM”, TO THE MIRROR TAKEN FROM THE ALBUM “THE DEVINE FEMININE” AND ALSO ADDING HIS trademark sunglasses TO THE SCENE.

this was a fantastic opportunity to art direct an organic and impulsive thought into a visual sequence.
